AM Village 2026 – Advancing Additive Manufacturing for European Defence

From 16 to 20 March 2026, the European Defence Agency will organise the third edition of the Additive Manufacturing (AM) Village, a dedicated workshop format focused on the application of AM in the military domain. 

It brings together AM experts from industry, armed forces, and academia to explore how additive manufacturing can help address operational challenges and strengthen defence capabilities.  

By fostering a collaborative environment, AM village allows participants to share experiences, identify military use cases, and co-develop tailored AM solutions. 

The main objectives of AM Village 2026 are: 

  • Identify military use cases where AM technologies offer viable solutions. 

  • Provide findings and recommendations for future actions supporting AM implementation. 

  • Facilitate a mutual understanding between AM industry and Armed Forces regarding needs, requirements, and capabilities. 

  • Promote mission-tailored industrial AM solutions. 

  • Strengthen interoperability among European Armed Forces and cooperation with AM industry and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM).

AM Village 2026 is addressed to active EU contributors from: 

  • Armed Forces 

  • AM and OEM Industry 

  • Academia 

Please note: AM Village is a workshop, not an exhibition or commercial event. Participation is limited to entities actively contributing with equipment and/or manpower, with a focus is on military applications of AM and the exchange of experience. 

Registration 

Ahead of the main event, the 1st AM Village 2026 Preparation Meeting will take place in Albacete (Spain) on 20-23 October 2025. Registration is required.
