European Defence Agency and the Joint CBRN Defence Centre of Excellence in Vyškov, Czechia, have developed a European CBRN Knowledge Base (CBRN-KB). This new knowledge sharing platform aims to strengthen information exchange, improve situational awareness, and stimulate collaboration across the EU CBRN defence community.
CBRN stands for chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear substances. These hazardous agents can cause mass casualties, contamination, or long-term disruption. EDA supports EU Member States in strengthening CBRN defence capabilities to prevent, survive, and operate through contamination.
To introduce the CBRN Knowledge Base, EDA organises a webinar on 11 March 2026 from 14:00 to 15:00 Brussels time. It will be an opportunity to explore CBRN-KB, understand how to contribute and ask questions.
Objectives
- Provide an overview of the CBRN-KB structure, features, and governance
- Present the registration and user‑management procedures (MyEDA access requirements EDA Registration System)
- Demonstrate platform functionalities for registered and unregistered users
- Explain how the tool supports capability development, knowledge consolidation, and networking across the CBRN defence community
Register here before 9 March 2026. EDA will distribute the agenda and connection details several days before the webinar.
