Seminar on EU funding for the defence sector

The European Defence Agency (EDA) and the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Austria, in cooperation with the FFG Austrian Research Promotion Agency and the Austrian Defence & Security Industry (ASW), are co-organising a seminar on EU funding for the defence sector, which will take place on January 24, 2017, in Wien (Austria). 

The objective is to raise awareness and inform defence-related stakeholders (enterprises, research and technology organisations, academia, clusters) about existing possibilities to access European Union funding programmes running till 2020, including the European Structural and Investment Funds (ESIF), the COSME (EU Programme for the COmpetitiveness of SMEs) and the Preparatory Action for Defence Research.

A particular focus will be put on ways and means to benefit from both R&T funding and Enterprise Europe Network’s free-of-charge services in native language.
A practical coaching session will simulate the drafting of the application to access ESIF.

The EDA’s Deputy Chief Executive, Mr Rini Goos, will deliver the Opening Speech.

The seminar takes place on January 24 (9:00h-16:30h) at the FFG Austrian Research Promotion Agency (Meeting Room, Ground Floor, F. Seidl), 1090 Vienna, Sensengasse 1.
