European Non-Dependence Process: Mapping Meeting

  • 08 September 2011 to 08 September 2011
  • Noordwijk NETHERLANDS
  • 05:00 - 13:00

At the workshop on Critical Space Technologies for European Strategic Non-Dependence, held in Brussels on 9 September 2008, the European Commission (EC), the European Space Agency (ESA) and the European Defence Agency (EDA) agreed work together on the development of critical space technologies in Europe.

In 2009, a coherent European institutional approach was established, targeting the development of critical space technologies and products for European Strategic Non-Dependence. The European Non-Dependence Process was launched in July 2009 and established the List of Urgent Actions for European Strategic Non-Dependence on Critical Technologies for 2010/2011.

EC, ESA and EDA, together with European stakeholders, will now conduct the next cycle of the European Non-Dependence process for the identification of the urgent actions for Critical Space Technologies to be addressed in 2012/2013. The Mapping Meeting will be held on 8 September 2011 at ESA-ESTEC. The objective of this meeting will be to take stock of the actions implemented over the last two years and gather feedback from Member States and Industry, in order to refine the European approach to the issue

Participation to this event is restricted by invitation only.
