Tactical Air Transport symposium

  • 16 December 2010 to 16 December 2010
  • Brussels BELGIUM
  • 07:00 - 15:00
The European Air Transport Fleet (EATF) initiative aims at developing concrete solutions to increase the efficiency of all existing and future air transport assets made available by the participating Member States for military needs and optimisation of airlift organisations and structures through far-reaching coordination.

In order to improve airlift aircrew preparation and interoperability as well as to exchange information on recent operational lessons learned, EDA organises an EATF Tactical Air Transport Symposium for airlift operators on 16 December 2010.

The objective is to exchange tactical user’s experience and discuss particular airlift issues. During the morning session, presentations will be provided on operational lessons learned from recent or on-going operations (like EUFOR Chad/CAR, RDC and the Middle East.). This session will focus on both preparation and execution issues. The afternoon session will be dedicated to syndicate discussions on a variety of subjects (cargo loads, NVIS training and operations, aircraft survivability, high level Precision Air Drop Systems and tactical Medevac).

This symposium is restricted to air transport aircrews of EU Member States and to representatives of EU Institutions and bodies.

Please note that the number of seats is limited. Registration can be made by e-mail to Dimitrios.MOUTSIAKIS@eda.europa.eu until 3/12/2010.
