The EU Military Committee, chaired by General Håkan Syrén, visited the European Defence Agency on 17th April 2012. In preparation for the upcoming Chiefs of Defence meeting on 24th April, Madame Claude-France Arnould presented the Agency’s current progress on Pooling & Sharing, and in particular the increased momentum following the EDA Steering Board meeting of 22nd March on issues such as air-to-air refueling and research and technology. Also under discussion was the EDA’s contribution to SESAR, the Single European Sky research and development project.

The discussions were fruitful: both sides emphasized the value of an ongoing close relationship between the EUMC and the EDA.
