ESDC/EDA European Armament Cooperation (EAC) Course

  • 15 October 2013 to 22 November 2013
  • 06:00 - 16:00

In the framework of the European Security and Defence College, the European Defence Agency and the Austrian Ministry of Defence and Sports organise two modules of the European Armaments Cooperation Course 2013.

The aim of the European Armament Cooperation (EAC) Course is to enhance mutual understanding in issues related to armament cooperation by delivering awareness on the state of the art of this sector; identifying the frameworks, stakeholders tools and processes, and understanding the challenges at stake and benefits at a EU level in order to have commonly educated EAC managers for efficiently undertaking international armament cooperation projects in the context of a developing CSDP.

The course addresses personnel earmarked for or working in national and international armament cooperation who need to gain knowledge and experience in acquisition and project management as well as personnel needing knowledge on armament cooperation in order to achieve future leadership positions in the wider defence area.

Course

The European Armament Cooperation (EAC) Course is structured in two consecutive modules, a threeday residential Awareness Level Course from 15 - 17 October 2013 at the European Defence Agency (EDA) in Brussels and a five-day residential Expert Level Course from 18 – 22 November 2013 at the Austrian National Defence Academy in Vienna. Additionally, modules of the Internet Distance Learning (IDL) of the ESDC are prerequisite for attending the EAC course.
