R&T Instruments

The EU Council Decision establishing the EDA foresees three types of cooperative instruments:

1. Ad Hoc Category B Projects or Programmes (article 20 of the Council Decision)
2. Ad Hoc Category A Projects or Programmes (article 19)
3. Studies funded from EDA Operational Budget (article 13). 

R&T Directorate

Ad Hoc Category A and B R&T Projects and Programmes are the main instruments of collaboration in the EDA Research & Technology Directorate.
They are prepared and monitored in specific Capability Technology groups ("CapTechs").
