Communications and Media Relations Principles

EDA is open in disseminating accurate and complete information to the public, as far as its mission and activities are concerned. EDA responds immediately to press requests.

The Agency organises:

Press Conferences – regularly, after major events (e.g., Steering Boards, Conferences). As EDA’s Press Conferences usually take place at the Justus Lipsius building (Council of the EU), EDA strongly advises journalists to follow the Council’s press accreditation procedure.
Prebriefs to the Press – usually, one week before a major event.

All press events are announced through a press invitation, addressed to all journalists subscribing our mailing list. If you want to subscribe the press distribution/mailing list, please mail to info[at]eda.europa.eu. EDA’s press releases are published under the “News” section of this website.

Articles or interviews might be requested to info[at]eda.europa.eu. Editors and journalists are asked to specify the nature of the publication, the target audiences, deadline for submission, and length of the text in advance.
