5th Unmanned Aircraft Systems Workshop – Research and Development for UAS: discussion paper available

A workshop on UAS will be co-organised by the European Commission and the European Defence Agency. This workshop is the fifth and last in a series of five workshops run by the European Commission (DG Enterprise and DG MOVE) of the Unmanned Aerial Systems Panel Process, aiming at preparing a Strategy for UAS in Europe.

The workshop will map current UAS research priorities, identify technology gaps, map innovation investment schemes including demonstrator programmes and discuss EU-level coordination. The workshop will build upon the outcomes of the four preceding workshops and make the connection with their respective themes: UAS industry and market, safety, insertion into airspace, and UAS’ societal dimension.
